The timer alarm maddeningly keeps chirping until manually silenced (my previous GE microwave had the good sense to stop after 4 chirps). The stovetop light is awful--casts the beam of a dim flashlight, even on the higher setting, and is virtually useless. The light on my previous GE microwave was actually bright enough to be useful.

Unit arrived in great condition and installation instructions were very clear. Installed with no problems and it is working fine so far. Only issue for me is that I would rather have a smooth door than the GE logo protruding. Also, a heads up about needing the charcoal filter for non-vented use would have been appreciated.

It's a good match for our other white on white GE Profile appliances and the Advantium we liked. But when it went out I could not find another Advantium white on white. So I ordered regular microwave, not a Profile but white on white matches pretty good.

This unit appears to have the GE quality but the door seems to lack structural integrity. It has a hollow sound when you close it (no weight to it).

To me the quality is first rate. The performance is spot on and the features are intuitive to use. Also my unit is very quite and that's including when the vent fan running. Mounting was easy, just follow the plan, but definitely a two person job. This is my second unit in 16 years.

I never believed a microwave with a porcelain finish would be so awesome. Easy clean up, no stains . My 18 year old college kid even looks forward to using this microwave because the messes left behind are not obvious at all. They are pleased to "leave the scene of the crime" and I'm clueless until it's to late. Nice! Real nice. Must be lov- Nahhh! That ain't it. You have to love 'em, you don't have to like 'em. Perfect. Thanks GE. Truly an awesome experience overall.

This is my 4th GE MW in this category over 25 years. Average life span 7-10 years with pretty high use. Each new model seems to be made flimsier/cheaper than previous model.
Pros: This MW works well, heats fast, easy to operate. Nice looking MW. I always liked the Express cook and add 30 seconds feature. The turntable on/off switch is back (disappeared on my last one) and I like that feature. I think this new MW may be slightly quieter than my last one. I like the new "white light" larger clock display. Easy to read. The exhaust fan is very powerful if you have the model with 400cfm power boost option.
Cons: I DO NOT LIKE THE DARK GRAY INTERIOR ON MY WHITE MW! Makes the inside very dark, and with a new light bulb inside that is ridiculously dim, its hard to see your food. Impossible to view food through the door while cooking. I would replace the bulb with higher intensity, but this is not a common bulb I can find anywhere.Interior light is useless as it is. As stated, this is not my first GE. I would be very helpful if GE would be consistent with mounting brackets and mounting hole locations. Each MW is different enough by a small amount to have to drill new holes for each MW mounting. My upper cabinet floor is starting to look like swiss cheese. It would be so easy to install, and less destructive to cabinets, if mount brackets, screw locations, were compatible. I did have the problem with exhaust fan not shutting off with the last model. Had to unplug unit to reset. Hope this is no longer an issue.

I hope you're listening GE because you need to fix 2 things to an otherwise fine, high quality unit. Why do they put that ugly round logo obnoxiously right in the top center of the unit It looks like Cyclops. It just looks like a hole in the top of the door. What happened to the days when they used to put just a small painted logo discretely down in the corner? That would make it look a lot classier. It looks funny centered on the top because it looks like it would look better if it was centered on the door but then that would look funny too. They should have put it down in the left side corner. The other really bad thing is that the clock is way, way, way too bright. They should make it dimmable or not dimmable but 10 times dimmer. It will dilate your sleepy eyeballs if you go to the kitchen to get a drink of water at night and tick you right off. The only reason I didn't return the unit was that I could turn the clock totally off and luckily I still have a clock on my stove. But I would prefer to still have the clock option on my microwave as well but with this one I don't. As you can see in the photo my clock is turned off and there it will remain.

This is a very good microwave. The vent fan works well and is not horribly noisy like many over the range microwaves. The quick cook feature is good. I wish it had preprogrammed settings for cooking and reheating specific foods like my former Amana microwave had.

I've purchased GE microwaves for the past 30 years. They are one of the most reliable on the market with easy features. Recently moved and needed an over-the-range microwave. Had a new GE one installed, and I'm happy with the results. It has all the old features, plus a few new ones. It's working great.

Limited to the dimensions of the former microwave, I finally selected this GE. What a wonderful surprise! Exceeds our expectations & easy to use. Concerned the dark interior would be an issue but it's not. Steam Clean a nice feature and the door window provides the all white exterior look. Thumbs up!!!

Replaced my 12 year old microwave. This one look's great. Better than the old one that was stainless steel. My other appliances are white so this one matches. Tested the exhaust fan to the outside and it has a lot more exhaust than the old one did. Has great features on it for the wife.

The unit arrived in perfect condition, installation instructions were easy to understand and my son and I installed it in about 1 hour. My previous GE OTR Microwave was 24 years old, this one fit almost perfectly, including the top outside exhaust. I have only used it for a week, but it has performed perfectly, it's quiet, has a strong exhaust, and nice appearance.

The door closes hard and makes it seem like you're slamming it, because of the plastic latches, and I don't see any way to make an adjustment to it. Also the control button need to be pressed hard before they will respond to your input. I am not impressed with this microwave.

I had to replace my previous GE Microwave (the handle had broken after 17 years, and I couldn't get a replacement). This new microwave does the job, although I preferred my previous unit. The previous unit matched my other appliances better, and it was low profile, so it fit in my cabinets flush. But these are esthetic issues, and I was aware of them when I made this purchase.

Our over-the-stove GE Microwave works well, but startled us when the vent fan went on by itself when I was cooking on the stove top. We learned that the built-in thermostat turns the fan on if the microwave temperature rises above 150 degrees F.
